And I should take a moment to note here that if you’re a subscriber to our Digital Bits Patreon, you knew about a few of these titles weeks ago! So if you’d like to support our work here at The Bits, please consider joining us there.
In the meantime, you can read more about these titles (and pre-order them) here, and you can see the cover artwork below and above left…
Also today, Imprint Films and Via Vision have just revealed their March slate of deep catalog Blu-ray releases, which will include Gerry O’Hara’s Maroc 7 (1967), Ralph Thomas’ Bulldog Drummond spy caper Some Girls Do (1969), Ralph Thomas’ Hot Enough for June (1964), Peter Hall’s Three Into Two Won’t Go (1969), Lewis Allen’s Another Time, Another Place (1958), and Peter Collinson’s Up the Junction (1968). The street date for all of them is 3/25. Here’s a look at the cover art…
Also today, Paramount and Alliance Home Entertainment have set Derek Cianfrance’s Roofman (2025) for Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD release on 1/20.
And for anime fans, Crunchyroll has announced One Piece: Season 14, Voyage 9 for Blu-ray and DVD release on 4/7 (making the U.S. home media release of episode 1,000 of the series—there are 1,155 and counting in all!), followed by Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom on 4K Ultra HD Steelbook on 4/14, and Shangri-La Frontier: Season 2 on Blu-ray on 4/21.
In other film industry news today, Variety is reporting that Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has committed to maintaining the 45-day theatrical window for movies once the Netflix / Warner Bros. Discovery merger is complete. You can read more on that here.
And finally, here’s something of a landmark: Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy has officially stepped down from her leadership role with the company. Replacing her are George Lucas protégé Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm president and general manager of business Lynwen Brennan. It’ll be interesting, I think, to see how the roadmap for future Star Wars films and TV series project changes or evolves going forward in light of this news. My suggestion: Bring back that Rogue Squadron movie, please!
All right, that’s it for today.
Have a good weekend, everyone!
