The Weinstein Company, Starz and Anchor Bay have officially set Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight for Blu-ray and DVD release on 3/29 (SRP $39.99 and $29.98). The digital HD release is due on 3/15. Running time is 168 minutes (the Theatrical Cut only), aspect ratio is 2.76:1, and audio is 5.1 DTS HD-MA. Note that the Blu-ray includes only 2 featurettes by way of extras (Beyond the Eight: A Behind-the-Scenes Look and Sam Jackson’s Guide to Glorious 70mm). This, plus the fact that the 187-minute Roadshow Version is not included, suggests a more elaborate Blu-ray release is already planned for later this year.
