Also, just in case you missed it over the weekend, our friends at the Warner Archive Collection held a trio of virtual panels at Comic-Con at Home this last week where in they made it official that the Bugs Bunny: 80th Anniversary Collection is coming to Blu-ray on 11/3. Well, we now have details on the 60 cartoons you can expect to find in the box and you’ll find that added to the end of our post here at The Bits from Thursday.

The Warner Archive Collection also confirmed that Tex Avery Screwball Classics: Volume 2 is on the way to Blu-ray, as is The Flintstones: The Complete Series (sometime this fall). They’re also working on Superman: The Animated Series, but details on that are still TBA.

Finally, we need to take a moment to acknowledge the passing of TV host Regis Philbin (88, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee) and actors John Saxon (83, Enter the Dragon, Nightmare on Elm Street, Battle Beyond the Stars) and Olivia de Havilland (104, Gone with the Wind, To Each His Own, The Heiress). Others have written better remembrances that I could, so do check those out here, here, and here. A special nod also today to the memory of the late US Representative, civil rights hero, and yes... Comic-Con veteran John Lewis, who passed last week at the age of 80. More on him here. All will surely be missed, but—in this time of COVID and turmoil—it’s at least good to see that each lived long and rich lives.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned...
