Meanwhile, in announcement news, our friends at Kino Lorber Studio Classics have just officially set Franc Roddam’s The Lords of Discipline (1983) for release in 4K Ultra HD on 8/26.
Kino Lorber is releasing a new 4K restoration of Judy Irvin’s 2003 documentary The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill on Blu-ray Disc on 7/15. It’ll feature a mix of new and archival bonus content, including the audio commentary with author Mark Buttner.
Lionsgate has set Jamie Babbit’s But I’m a Cheerleader (1999) for 4K Ultra HD release on 8/26.
Paramount is releasing 1923: Season Two via Digital on 7/7, with the Blu-ray and DVD set to follow on 8/5.
Universal Studios Home Entertainment has just announced Henry Koster’s Harvey (1950) for 4K UHD release on 8/19. The film of course stars Jimmy Stewart.
Various online retailers are now taking pre-orders for the Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD release of Gavin O’Connor’s The Accountant 2 (2025) from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The street date is TBA.
Via Vision is releasing Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: The Complete Collection on Blu-ray on 8/20. All nine stories from the original series will be included, plus the four from the Greek Myths sequel series.
And down in Australia, Umbrella Entertainment has just unveiled their October Blu-ray and 4K slate, which will officially include the anthology title The ABCs of Death (2012) on Blu-ray on 10/8, along with Tôru Murakawa’s Japanese crime thriller The Resurrection of the Golden Wolf (1979) on Blu-ray, Andrew Traucki’s The Reef (2010) on Blu-ray, and the New Extremity Collection: Volume 2 Blu-ray box set, which features Jan Kounen’s Dobermann (1997), Catherine Breillat’s Fat Girl (2001), Marina de Van’s In My Skin (2002), and Bruni Dumont’s Twentynine Palms (2003). And following on 10/19 is Gerald Kargl’s Angst (1983) in 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray.
