Also, the TCM Classic Film Festival has begun to tease its 2026 slate of films, and among them will be the world premiere of a new Alice in Wonderland (1961) 75th anniversary restoration from Disney, as well as a 90th anniversary presentation of Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times (1936), and a 75th anniversary presentation of Robert Wise’s The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951). So it seems possible that Alice and Day (which is already available in 4K Digital) could find their way to 4K disc next year.

And while we’re talking Disney, I have it on good authority that Joachim Rønning’s Tron: Ares (2025) will be announced soon for Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD. So stay tuned. (Also, be aware that a number of Bits readers are reporting that they’re finally getting their 4K Steelbook copies of Tron and Tron: Legacy, so if you’re still waiting for an order, hang in there—the studio has and is making more.)

Also today, Imprint Films has just announced its next batch of Imprint Asia films coming to 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on 2/25/26, which includes Chen Kaige’s Farewell My Concubine (1993), Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution (2007), and Stephen Fung’s Tai Chi Zero (2012).

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has set Hal Ashby’s Rolling Stones concert film Let’s Spend the Night Together (1983) for 4K Ultra HD release on 1/20. This one will have SDR only, but it follows the band’s 1981 arena tour and it includes 25 songs.

Guillermo del Toro’s Mimic (1997) has finally been set for 4K release on 1/13 by the label.

KLSC has also revealed that Stephen Frears’ The Hi-Lo Country (1998) and Jeremy Kagan’s Scott Joplin (1977) are coming to Blu-ray in February. Street date TBA.

On 1/13, look for Sabrina (1995), Man in a Cocked Hat (1959), and Hold That Blonde! (1945) on Blu-ray in new HD masters. And Pete Welker’s The Flesh and Blood Show (1972) will follow on 1/20 as a new Kino Cult Blu-ray, featuring 3-D sequences “newly aligned by the 3-D Film Archive” and presented in both stereo and anaglyph formats.

And Arrow Video is gearing up to announce their next batch of 4K and Blu-ray titles for February on Black Friday (11/28). I have a sneaking suspicion that John Boorman’s Excalibur (1981) could be among them. Whatever gets announced, I have no doubt it will be good. So be sure to watch their social media then!
