Among them will be Chuck Russell’s The Mask (1994), Antony Hoffman’s Red Planet (2000), Peter Hyams’ Outland (1981), and Wes Craven’s Deadly Friend (1986). We expect the full announcement to be made on Arrow’s social media imminently, but here’s a preview of some of the cover artwork that was shared early on Zavvi…
Be sure to keep an eye on their X page for all the official details.
On a related note, if you’re interested in upcoming 4K catalog titles, you might want to consider joining our Patreon page, because we’re sharing a lot of good information over there for our subscribers on that front including, just today, early word on a couple of forthcoming Disney titles direct from the Master Control Program. Subscribing there is affordable and we try to make it worth your while. It also really helps us to keep The Digital Bits website going strong into the future, covering all of our favorite physical media formats for close to three decades now. So thank you in advance for considering signing up!
Also today, Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has just made Joseph Kosinski’s F1 (2025) available for Digital purchase and rental. We’re trying to confirm whether the Apple Original Film will also be getting a physical media release on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD—I do believe one is forthcoming, but details are still TBA.
In the meantime, Ignite Films and Eagle Rock Pictures will be releasing Brian Yuzna’s Bride of Re-Animator (1990) in 4K Ultra HD in early 2026.
Via Vision Entertainment is releasing The Divergent Series (2014-2016) and 3:10 to Yuma (2007) in 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on October 29th in Australia. Each is limited to 2000 units.
And their Imprint Television line has just announced the Blu-ray release of Department S: The Complete Series (1968-1969), Kolchak: The Night Stalker – The Complete Series (1975-1975), and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons: The Complete Series (1967-1968). All will street on October 29th as well.
Finally today, here’s an oddball: It appears that Best Buy has decided to get back in the physical media game… sort of. They’re not bringing physical discs back to any of their stores, but their website has begun selling Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD titles again. The company has officially announced that they’ve launched a new “digital marketplace” powered by Mirakl, which includes “a variety of formats like Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Steelbook.” Bless their wrong-headed little hearts. You can read their press release here.
That’s all for this week! Back on Monday with more.
Stay tuned…
