Meanwhile, coming on 8/12 to 4K Ultra HD Steelbook from Lionsgate Limited is David Robert Mitchell’s It Follows (2014) and Alexandre Aja’s High Tension (2003). And Ivan Reitman’s Meatballs (1979) and the Spierig Bros’ Daybreakers (2010) will follow in September, also in 4K Steelbook.
Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has set James Wan’s The Conjuring (2013) for release in 4K Ultra HD on 8/26—that’s a New Line title. Warner has also set Spenser: For Hire – The Complete Series (1985) for DVD release on 9/9.
This one is great: Sony has announced a 4K Ultra HD Steelbook edition of Lawrence Kasdan’s Silverado (1985) for release on 10/7 in honor of the film’s 40th anniversary. It will include Dolby Vision HDR, a new Dolby Atmos mix, the previous English 5.1 mix, and the original English 2.0 mix, plus legacy special features.
Sony has also set Jonathan Entwistle’s Karate Kid: Legends (2025) for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 8/26, with the Digital release due on 7/8. They’ve also set The Boys: The Complete Season 4 (2024) for DVD and Blu-ray release on 8/19.
Universal has set Gerard Johnstone’s M3gan 2.0: Unrated (2025) for release on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on 9/23.
A24 has revealed that Danny & Michael Philippou’s Bring Her Back (2025) is coming soon to Blu-ray and 4K from A24 Shop. The street date is TBA in August. Also coming in August is Andrew DeYoung’s Friendship (2024). Coming in September is Celine Song’s Materialists (2025) on Blu-ray only. And now shipping on Blu-ray are Isaiah Saxon’s The Legend of Ochi (2025), Alex Scharfman’s Death of a Unicorn (2025), and Aaron Schimberg’s A Different Man (2024).
StudioCanal has set Mike Nichols’ The Graduate (1967) for 4K Ultra HD release in the UK on September 15th. This is a 3-disc collector’s edition box set with swag that features a new restoration of the film.
Kino Lorber Studio Classics has revealed that Ted Post’s Hang ‘Em High (1968) is coming in 2026 to 4K Ultra HD. Meanwhile, Craig R. Baxley’s Stone Cold (1991), Kevin Bray’s Walking Tall (2004), Taika Waititi’s Boy (2010), Andrei Konchalovsky’s Runaway Train (1985), and Guy Hamilton’s Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985) are all coming soon to 4K UHD.
On 9/30, KLSC is releasing the Airport: The Complete 4-Film Collection (1970-1979) on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD. Also coming that day to 4K Ultra HD is Don Edmonds’ Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS (1975). On 9/23, look for Ken Finkleman’s Airplane II: The Sequel (1982) in 4K UHD. And on 9/16, look for Sidney J. Furie and Robert Butler’s Night of the Juggler (1980) in 4K UHD.
Coming to Blu-ray from KLSC and Dark Force Entertainment in October is Mark L. Lester’s The Ex (1996). KLSC has also set Sean S. Cunningham’s Deepstar Six (1989) for Blu-ray re-release on 9/30. William D. Russell’s Dear Ruth (1947) and Cliff Owen’s Wrong Arm of the Law (1963) arrive on Blu-ray on 9/9. And Mel Smith’s Radioland Murders (1994), Colin Higgins’ The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982), Dan Curtis’ Late-Night Mysteries set, Anthony Asquith’s French Without Tears (1940), and Edward Sedgwick’s Father Brown, Detective (1934) are all coming on Blu-ray on 9/23 from KLSC.
Also today, Shout! Studios has set Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 – Season 2 (2020) for Blu-ray release on 9/16. And with Anime Limited, they’re releasing City Hunter: Angel Dust (2023) on Blu-ray on 8/26.
Shout has also set their Blaxploitation Classics: Volume 2 4K UHD + Blu-ray box set for release on 8/19, which will include Foxy Brown (1974), Friday Foster (1975), Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970), Bucktown (1975), Slaughter (1972), and Slaughter’s Big Rip-Off (1973).
And Well Go USA will release Sakamoto Yugo’s Baby Assassins 3 (2024) on Blu-ray and Digital on 8/26.
