Scream for a Week returns, plus Game of Thrones: S7 update, A Town Called Panic, My Journey Through French Cinema & more

We’ve got a couple items for you early today while we work on posting more disc reviews...

First up, Tim has checked in with a new Scream for a Week column here at The Bits, featuring his thoughts on a whole batch of recent Scream Factory Blu-ray titles. Do give that a look.

HBO has announced that their Blu-ray release of Game of Thrones: The Complete Seventh Season is going to come with a bonus BD disc called Game of Thrones: Conquest & Rebellion, which is an animated history of the seven kingdoms of Westeros. That’ll street on 12/12. [Read on here…]

Lionsgate is releasing The Glass Castle on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/7.

GKids and Shout! Factory are releasing Stephane Aubier’s A Town Called Panic: The Collection on Blu-ray on 12/19.

Major League Baseball has set the 2017 World Series Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and DVD release for 12/12, to be further team-branded when the game is won.

Cohen Media Group is releasing Bertrand Tavernier’s documentary My Journey Through French Cinema on Blu-ray and DVD on 11/21.

10 Spot is releasing John Scheinfeld’s Chasing Trane: The John Coltrane Documentary on Blu-ray on 11/17.

A number of you have asked why Warner Bros Home Entertainment’s new Harry Potter 4K titles aren’t yet listed for pre-order on Amazon.com, and the answer seems to be that Amazon and Warner Bros are having yet another contractual dispute. We can’t confirm that, of course, but it seems a little odd. Neither can you pre-order Blade Runner: 2049 on Amazon at the moment. Or Dunkirk. Seems fishy to us.

Meanwhile, Sony’s The Dark Tower is available for Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD pre-order on 10/31.
