Apparently, Cancer Man doesn’t work for 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, because this may very well be the worst kept secret on the planet: Fox’s The X-Files: Seasons 1-9 Collection (Blu-ray) is now available for pre-order on Amazon Canada with a street date of 12/8 and an Amazon pre-order of $279.99 (Canadian dollars, mind you, which is about $210 USD – SRP is set at $399.99). Better still, Amazon.ca is ALSO showing that each season of the series (see for yourself... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9) will available separately for just $23.09 each (SRP $32.99). So you can either buy the whole smash, or just the seasons you like best! None of these SKUs are listed on Amazon US yet (and USD pricing will be slightly different), but I would expect them to appear very soon. [Read on here…]

Also, just a quick note: We’ve just posted a new Blu-ray Disc review from our own Jim Hemphill, featuring a look at Burt Kennedy’s 1969 western Young Billy Young from Kino Lorber. The film stars Robert Mitchum.

And we’ve updated the Release Dates & Artwork section with all the latest Blu-ray and DVD cover art, as well as Amazon.com pre-order links. A portion of anything you order from Amazon after clicking to them through our links goes to help support our work here at The Bits and we greatly appreciate it!

Stay tuned!
