Okay… we’ve got some good announcement news for you guys this morning…

First up, Warner Home Video has set NBC’s Revolution for Blu-ray and DVD release on 9/10.  Revolution: The Complete First Season (SRP $69.97 and $59.98) will feature all 20 episodes and over 90 minutes of bonus content.  Both formats will include 2 featurettes (An In-depth Look at the Revolution Pilot and Creating a Revolution), deleted scenes, the NBC.com “webisodes” and a gag reel.  To this, the Blu-ray will exclusively add video of the Revolution cast and creative team at the 2013 Paley Festival, as well as UltraViolet digital copy versions of all 20 episodes.

Meanwhile, Universal has set The Place Beyond the Pines for Blu-ray Combo and DVD release on 8/6.  The film stars Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Ray Liotta.  Extras on both versions will include deleted and extended scenes, as well as audio commentary with director and co-writer Derek Cianfrance.

Sony has announced a few more “Mastered in 4K” Blu-rays for release on 7/16, including Godzilla, Men in Black, Spider-Man 2, Pineapple Express and Moneyball.

Anchor Bay has revealed that they’re working on a new Halloween: 35th Anniversary Edition for release on Blu-ray and DVD later this year.  They’re calling it “the greatest version with exciting extras” and have even reunited star Jamie Lee Curtis and director John Carpenter for the festivities.  We’ll have more official details as they’re announced.

Not to be outdone, Scream Factory has officially set The Incredible Melting Man for Blu-ray release on 7/30.  They’ve also set new Collector’s Edition Blu-ray and DVD versions of Psycho II and Psycho III for release on 9/24.

And finally today, here’s some awesome news:  Twilight Time has announced a slate of terrific Limited Edition Blu-ray titles for release later this year, including Drums Along the Mohawk (1939 – includes the 2007 documentary Becoming John Ford) and Alamo Bay (1985) on 9/10, Mindwarp (1992) and The Other (1972) on 10/8, and Oliver! (1968), The Way We Were (1973) and Jane Eyre (1944) on 11/12!  All of these are great, but I’m especially excited for Oliver! – it’s one of my favorite musicals.

By the way, Amazon.com’s exclusive zombie head fish tank packaging version of The Walking Dead: The Complete Third Season on Blu-ray is now available for pre-order here (SRP $104.99) – just add water!

We’ll close out the week with a look at the new Blu-ray cover art for Warner’s Revolution: The Complete First Season, Universal’s The Place Beyond the Pines and Millennium’s The Killing Season (due 8/20)…
