Now then... in announcement news today, Lionsgate has just officially set Hans Petter Moland’s thriller Cold Pursuit for release on Blu-ray, DVD, 4K Ultra HD, and Digital on 5/14. Both the Blu-ray and 4K will feature Dolby Atmos audio. The 4K will also including Dolby Vision HDR. Both Blu-ray versions will include an interview with the director, an interview with star Liam Neeson, deleted scenes, and the Welcome to Kehoe: Behind the Scenes on Cold Pursuit featurette. You can see the cover artwork above left. We’ve also added the title to our 4K Ultra HD Release List here at The Bits.

And while we’re talking about the 4K Ultra HD Release List, we’ve also added another title that our retail sources have told us is coming to the format later in 2019: Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. We’ll certainly post additional details as we get them.

In other release news, Comedy Central and Paramount will release South Park: The Complete Twenty-Second Season on Blu-ray and DVD on 5/28. You’ll get all 10 episodes, plus deleted scenes, and mini-commentaries by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and others. The Blu-ray also adds the #SocialCommentary on all episodes.

Meanwhile, here’s great news: Screen Media will be releasing Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote on Blu-ray and DVD on 6/4!

Lionsgate has also set Never Grow Old for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on 5/14.

Kino Lorber Studio Classics has just revealed that Antonio Margheriti’s Cannibal Apocalypse (1980) is coming soon to Blu-ray and DVD. Also on the way are Victor Saville’s My Gun is Quick (1957), Bryan Forbes’ The Whisperers (1967), and William Beaudine’s Billy the Kid vs. Dracula (1966 – due in July).

Shout! Factory has added Sinatra in Palm Springs to their Blu-ray release slate in June. Look for it on 6/11. The company has set Mystery Science Theater 3000: Volume XI for DVD release on 6/18 as well.

Filmrise is releasing Wildland on Blu-ray on 7/16.

And Arrow Video will be releasing The Running Man (1963) on Blu-ray on 6/18.

In other news today, there’s starting to be word that Apple intends to announce their own (and long-awaited) streaming service next week. You can read more on that here via The New York Times.

And finally today, a personal note: Most of know me as the found and editor here at The Digital Bits, where I’ve spent the last 21 years writing about Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD. But if there’s one thing I’m even more passionate about than film, it’s human spaceflight. I began collecting embroidered space mission emblems when I was a boy, after my uncle gave me an Apollo 11 patch. I’ve since become an expert on the subject and have amassed thousands of emblems, some flown in space and many obtained from the astronauts and cosmonauts. As 2019 marks the 60th anniversary of NASA and the 50th of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, once or twice a week all year I’m going to be sharing highlights from my collection @BillHuntBits on Twitter. And I’ve started today with a look at one of the very first space patches, a Soviet-era cosmonaut emblem.
