All right, we’re closing out the week with some interesting announcement news and a few other odds and ends...

First up today, Warner Bros has just announced that HBO’s Westworld: The Complete First Season will be available in Digital HD on 3/6. The Blu-ray and DVD release is expected to follow later in 2017, ahead of the debut of the series’ second season. Meanwhile, the Digital release will have some extras, including 5 behind-the-scenes featurettes (Welcome to Westworld, Crafting the Narrative, An Invitation to the Set, Reality of A.I.: Westworld, and About the Series), as well as 7 The Big Moment clips (Bernard Faces an Unlikely Saboteur, Teddy Versus the Man in Black, A Host Self-Sabotages, Maeve Gets An Answer, Dr. Ford’s Blood Sacrifice, The Truth About Bernard, and Dr. Ford’s New Narrative). Kino Lorber has also announced that their Studio Classics line will see the release of the Jerry Lewis film Don’t Give Up the Ship (1959) on 4/25, along with the Jackie Gleason comedy Papa’s Delicate Condition (1963) that same day.

Meanwhile, the website Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Ivan Reitman has found rare deleted scenes from the original Ghostbusters in boxes in his personal storage. There are apparently a few boxes, but two of them are labeled “Fort Detmerring Ghost” and “Honey Mooners.” You can read more here.

In a bit of follow-up on a forthcoming title that we’ve been monitoring for several months now, it’s still looking as if FUNimation plans to release the English-dubbed version of Speed Racer: The Complete Series in May (retail links, like this one at Best Buy, suggest a street date of 5/30 and an SRP of $22.99) and then they’ll likely follow up later in 2017 with a more elaborate or separate SKU containing the original Japanese version Mach GoGoGo too. Fandompost.com has a look today at leaked cover artwork mock-ups for the initial Blu-ray and DVD versions which you can see here...
