Creed II, Crimes of Grindelwald, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Fear the Walking Dead: S4 & Humans 3.0 announced

We’ve more big release news to report today...

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and MGM have just officially set Steven Cable Jr.’s Creed II for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 3/5 (SRP $44.95, $35.99, and $28.98 respectively), with the Digital release expected on 2/12. The 4K release will include Dolby Vision HDR. We suspect the audio will be Dolby Atmos as well, but the press release doesn’t specify. Extras on both the Blu-ray and 4K editions will include 4 featurettes (From Father to Son, Blood Runs Hot, Finding the Authentic, The Women of Creed II, and The Rocky Legacy), plus deleted scenes.

Warner has also announced that Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 3/12, with the Digital release due on 2/15. The 4K will include Dolby Vision HDR and both Blu-ray versions will feature Dolby Atmos audio. Extras will include 9 featurettes (J.K. Rowling: A World Revealed, Wizards on Screen, Fans in Real Life, Distinctly Dumbledore, Unlocking Scene Secrets: The Return to Hogwarts, Unlocking Scene Secrets: Newt’s Menagerie, Unlocking Scene Secrets: Credence, Nagini and the Circus Arcanus, Unlocking Scene Secrets: Paris and Place Cachée, Unlocking Scene Secrets: Ministere des Affaires Magiques, and Unlocking Scene Secrets: Grindelwald’s Escape and the Ring of Fire), plus deleted scenes. This would be a good time to remind everyone that Warner will also release A Star Is Born on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on 2/19, with the Digital release set for 1/15. The 4K will feature Dolby Vision HDR, while the Blu-ray and DVD release will include Dolby Atmos audio. Extras will include 3 Jam Sessions and Rarities (for Baby What You Want Me to Do, Midnight Special, and Is That Alright), The Road to Stardom: Making A Star is Born featurette, and 4 Music Videos (Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Look What I Found, and I’ll Never Love Again).

Disney has also just set Ralph Breaks the Internet for release on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on 2/26, with the Digital release expected on 2/12. Extras on all versions will include How We Broke the Internet, Surfing for Easter Eggs, The Music of Ralph Breaks the Internet, 5 deleted scenes, BuzzzTube Cats, and music videos. The Digital release will get an exclusive clip called Baby Drivers: Slaughter Racing School. Audio on Blu-ray is DTS-HD MA while the 4K has Dolby Atmos.

In other news, Lionsgate will release Fear the Walking Dead: The Complete Season Four on Blu-ray and DVD on 3/5. Extras will include audio commentary on four episodes (401, 405, 410, and 416) with the cast and crew.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release The Front Runner on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/12. Extras will include an audio commentary, The Unmaking of a Candidate, and 3 deleted scenes.

Scream Factory has announced that it’s releasing The Mole People (1956) on Blu-ray on 2/26 (presented in both 1.85:1 and 2.00:1 aspect ratios). Extras will include audio commentary with film historians Tom Weaver and David Schecter, the new Of Mushrooms and Madmen: The Making of The Mole People featurette, the Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode The Mole People (2/15/97) in standard definition, still galleries, and the film’s theatrical trailer.

Shout! Factory has announced the extras that will be included on the Backbeat: Shout Select edition on Blu-ray on 2/19. Look for A Conversation with Astrid Kirchherr, deleted scenes, Interviews with Iain Softley and actor Ian Hart, Iain Softley interview for the Sundance Channel, audio commentary (with Iain Softley, Ian Hart, and Stephen Dorff), a TV Featurette, and Casting Session.

For fans of British sci-fi, Acorn Media is releasing AMC’s Humans 3.0 on Blu-ray and DVD on 1/29. The episodes will be presented in their original uncut British versions. You’ll get 8 episodes plus behind-the-scenes featurettes.

The Coen Film Collection will release Diane Kurys’ Peppermint on Blu-ray and DVD on 2/12.

And a company called Gold Alchemy will be releasing a film called Taking Tiger Mountain Revisited (1983), which is a restoration of an early film starring a teenaged Bill Paxton. You can read more about the project here.
