James Goodridge began his illustration career in mid-eighties London . At that time
England still had a vibrant movie poster industry in which he was offered his first opportunity to work in the field of illustration. Within a few years James moved into the publishing world producing numerous bookcovers for a variety of publishers until moving to Los Angeles in 1996.
Despite the fact that illustration is seldom used for finished movie posters most of James’ work comes from that industry and there is still a huge respect for the skills of the illustrator. James has produced hundreds of paintings and sketches for movie and TV projects including the Harry Potter series, The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, King Kong, Star Trek, Memoirs Of A Geisha, 300 and in recent months, Iron Man, Wall-E, Lust Caution, Terminator 4 and Night At The Museum 2.
Additionally James produces drawings and paintings for private commissions as well as, for those who are interested, producing prints of his work. He can be contacted through his website, illustrationlives.com.
