The 9th Annual Digital Bits Bitsy Awards!
Ladies and gentlemen... we have traveled over half our state to be here tonight. We couldn't get away sooner because some new discs arrived from Coyote Hills and we had to see about them. So if we say that we are disc-men, you will agree. We are family men and we run a family business. This is our son and partner, H.W. Bitsy.

For nine years now, we've handed out The Bitsys, recognizing outstanding achievements in digital entertainment on disc. And after nine years, the list of categories had grown to unwieldy proportions. So this year, we decided it was high time we put Bitsy on a diet. We've cut a number of categories that no longer seemed relevant, including many of the 'Worst' awards. Most significantly, though, we decided to stop recognizing high-definition and standard definition separately. Now that the format war is over, we felt we needed to incorporate them into the mainstream. So we've noted what format each of our winners is on, whether it's DVD, Blu-ray or HD-DVD, and if there was anything particularly special about the high-def versions that made them stand out.

As always, this was a long, careful process. We scoured the 2007 release lists for weeks, wracking our brains to make sure we weren't leaving anything out. Sometimes there was a title that stood out as an obvious winner. Sometimes we debated at length over which one would come out on top. In each case, we combed through stacks and stacks of discs, studied gobs of special features and watched movies until our eyes were ready to fall out. We know, it's a tough gig.

At any rate, sit back and relax with a frosty milkshake as The Digital Bits proudly presents...
